Streamlining Communication with the Fax to Email Feature in FusionPBX
The Fax to Email feature in FusionPBX revolutionizes the way we send and receive faxes. Gone are the days of traditional fax machines and phone lines. This feature converts incoming faxes into PDFs and sends them directly to an email address. You can also send faxes by attaching documents to an email or uploading them through a web interface. This modern approach to faxing is not only more efficient and eco-friendly, but also incredibly convenient.
Setting Up the Fax to Email Feature
- Access the Fax Server: Go to Applications, then select Fax Server.
- Create a New Fax Server: Click the Add Plus button.
- Fill Out the Necessary Fields:
- Name: Choose a name for your fax server.
- Extension: Enter a unique number not used in your previous setup. If you have phone extensions, bridges, or IVRs in the system, make sure this number is unique.
- Destination Number: This is where you would put another fax number if you want to route faxes there. However, you can leave this blank.
- Email: Enter the email address where you want to receive your fax documents.
- Save Your Settings: Click Save after filling out these fields.
