Once you’ve set up your fax server in the Cloud Phone System, you’re ready to start sending faxes. This process is simple and involves uploading the document you want to fax and entering the recipient’s fax number. Here’s how to do it:
Go to Applications, then select Fax Server you created. If you haven’t created a Fax Server yet, please check out our previous video on how to do so.
You’ll see the name of the Fax Server, its extension, and related tools.
Click on ‘New’ to start the process of sending a fax.
The “Header”, “From”, and “To” fields are optional and pertain to your fax cover sheet. If you don’t require a cover sheet, you can leave these fields blank.
In the “Fax Number” field, input the recipient’s 10-digit fax number. If you need to send the fax to multiple numbers, click the Plus button to add more.
Click “Choose File” to upload the document you want to fax. Note that setting the resolution to Superfine will yield a clearer fax but may increase the send time and potentially your costs.
You can modify the Page Size according to the size of the document you’re sending.
Add a Subject for the cover sheet and a Message if you want to include additional information. These fields can also be left blank.
Click Preview to see how your fax will look. If you’re satisfied, click Send.
To check the status of your fax, go back to your Fax Server and click on Logs. This will show you the details of all your incoming and outgoing faxes. The Queue will show the status of the fax you just sent out.
Remember, sending faxes through your cloud phone system is a modern and efficient way to communicate. It allows you to send documents quickly and easily, without the need for a traditional fax machine.
